Everything we say

Everything we say and do is an act of power.  It creates an action that reverberates throughout us and those that we interact with.  Much of what we do, say and are is not necessarily conscious but buried beneath the surface like an iceberg. Yet there is always a surface that is showing and affecting us deeply.  As we realize this we become watchful and often make up rules about the need to be vigilant.  This is a limiting way to do it that is fraught with drama.  Instead, feeling the sub-currents of sensation that these acts of power produce is the path to freedom because we no longer are trapped by our power.  We are instead, set free.  ~Alain & Jody Herriott

We stand in an infinite space

We stand in an infinite space, the manifest and the un-manifest one flowing into the other.  Being and non-being define us and each other.  Nothing needs to be changed for all is interlinked— complete, whole and without end.  ~Alain & Jody Herriott

The un-manifest

What does it mean to join with the unformed, the un-manifest reality?  It is to sense and join with that undefined place where all creation springs forth from.  Yet this action has no form, no relationship to what we see around us.  But all it takes is a slight nuance of attention and it shows us form.  The Tao te Ching says: ….form that includes all form, subtle beyond all conception; you can’t know it but you can be it.  Just realize where you come from.  This is this essence of wisdom.  ~Alain & Jody Herriott

What does it mean

What does it mean to join with the all, the manifest reality?  To feel each molecule of us connected to every other molecule, appearing to be separate but actually indistinguishable from ourselves.  Quiet, unlimited and without end, a journey and a conclusion all in the same breath.  ~Alain & Jody Herriott

They both listened

“They both listened silently to the water, which to them was not just water, but the voice of life, the voice of Being, the voice of perpetual Becoming.” —Herman Hesse, Siddhartha

Water in motion is like the stream of life and consciousness.  It is the very nature of the awareness of being.  The motion is in us and even beyond us.  It is an interconnected flow.  When we stop being, this stream slows or stops.  Feeling will start it once again. Embrace your stream and flow. ~Alain & Jody Herriott

Going into oneself

Going into oneself, feeling and going further and further, in a sense, into the infinite of “me” leads to change.  The shift in state and consciousness opens a bit further.  The avenues of self open more.  We get used to a new state in the process which then offers us the opportunity to open further.  What felt like beyond what we could imagine is now our new platform to spring from.  The really amazing thing is we don’t even need to spring, we just take the next step and once again know the place for the first time.  ~Alain & Jody Herriott

Sitting here feeling open

Sitting here feeling open, endless possibilities surrounding me.  Words don’t seem enough to describe this state of being.  It is there for all of us.  How do we excite you, entice you enough to feel?  We watched the movie “Song of the Sea” the other night.  The kicker was that when we hide our feelings we turn to stone. The act of giving us back our feelings is what gave us life and even brought back the fairies and more to life again.  This is why it is worth going into our feelings.  To return us to life once again.  ~Alain & Jody Herriott

I was driving

I was driving in the car today, watching the world go by, noticing that everyone was living their view of reality.  I opened, felt the vastness of each individual and within that the continuity of life.  Everyone’s hopes and dreams flowed through the filter of belief systems.  I thought, what a marvelous play we find ourselves in.  As I felt the opportunity for each individual to awaken I was amazed at the unlimited potential we all have.  All we need to do is move from need to openness and we will arrive at a true sharing of consciousness and our world will evolve into harmony and bliss.  — Alain & Jody Herriott

Reading a story today

Reading a story today it said “Never hurts to believe in something bigger than you.”  It made us realize how often we look beyond ourselves.  That we are not enough.  But we are infinite beings.  While it may seem that we have to go beyond ourselves to realize our vastness it really isn’t necessary.  Within us is every answer.  All we need to do is feel and we can touch infinity and ride it all the back to who we are.  ~Alain & Jody Herriott

Dreamtime, as suggested

Dreamtime, as suggested by Marlo Morgan in Mutant Message Down Under, is about letting the universe provide the day’s dream or desire to you.  It takes no effort, just the unwavering belief that everything is present for us and will be provided at need.  Anything that seems to get in the way is an opportunity to unravel our fears and embrace the totality of who we are: unlimited beings who have been pretending to be limited and now acknowledge our vastness.  ~Alain & Jody Herriott
