Most of us

Most of us are like ponds.  Everything that comes at us stays in the pond.  Eventually the pond may get clogged and overwhelmed.  As we allow ourselves to feel, we unclog the pond and eventually realize that we are are a river.  Now we can have motion in our lives, flowing to the ocean of potential where we can grow again.  Happy New Year everyone.  ~Alain & Jody Herriott

As we embrace

As we embrace our openness, we have an opportunity to broaden its impact.  For example when you are put into a new situation say to yourself:  This is an opportunity for excellence.  As you feel it and let it open it will help to project you deeper into positive experiences.  Each moment then becomes an opportunity for more openness.  Enjoy and Happy Holidays everyone 🙂 ~Alain & Jody Herriott

In each day

In each day of our life we have two options: resistance or openness.  When we open we just enjoy the moment.  When in resistance try this; say to yourself “Thank you for showing me where my resistance lies”, and allow yourself to open.  ~Alain & Jody Herriott

So what is Maya

So what is Maya?  It is the mind traveling in its own world making up reasons why things should be this way or that way.  What is peace? It is an integration of body and mind.  This action supersedes internal whys and offers you internal balance.  ~Alain & Jody Herriott

People will find

“People will find transformation and transcendence in a McDonald’s hash brown if it’s all they’ve got.”  —Patton Oswalt, Zombie Spaceship Wasteland

Isn’t it fabulous that we get to start wherever we are in our journey to transcendence!  The paths we take that unfold so perfectly before us are a gift beyond measure.  Enjoy the journey.  ~Alain & Jody Herriott

Our true self

“Our true self is being who we are.”  —Lailah Gifty Akita

There is nothing to reach for, nothing to achieve to be your true self.  As you unwind your seeming limitations, as you dissolve the dross of your life, there you are—whole, intact and present in being.  ~Alain & Jody Herriott

The point of power

The point of power is in the present.  —Anonymous

This is what we can affect, our present.  It is the fulcrum point of our existence. When we allow ourselves to live in this most available of states all options exist and no matter what we choose to do we are amazingly effective.  ~Alain & Jody Herriott

Everything has its

Everything has its wonders, even darkness and silence, and I learn, whatever state I may be in, therein to be content.  —Helen Keller

Yes, everything has its wonders.  Seeing the infinite in every experience, feeling whole in each moment, being who we are and reveling in that experience.  Wonders indeed!  ~Alain & Jody Herriott

Stillness offers an

“Stillness offers an experience of being and a recognition that being . . . my essence . . . is a part of all Being, all Essence.”  ― Nancy J. Napier

This is so very true.  The ability to be still is a natural part of the evolution of feeling.  As we feel more and judge less we integrate body and mind.  This action results in stillness, no striving required.  ~Alain & Jody Herriott

Resistance and openness

Resistance and openness. An opportunity and a reward. Looking out the window at a rainy day feeling resistance to the vision, I feel, open and surrender to the fears within me. The wind blows and the sky clears and I find myself once more in the clear blue sky of me, free within the endless possibilities of of an ever-evolving yet deeply present now.  ~Alain and Jody Herriott
