Silence, patience, compassion

We would like to offer this simple thought:

Number 67 of the Tao te Ching says:

“….  I have just three things to teach:

simplicity, patience, compassion.

These three are your greatest treasures.

Simple in actions and in thoughts,

you return to the source of being.

Patient with both friends and enemies,

you accord with the way things are.

Compassionate toward yourself,

you reconcile all beings in the world.

If we choose to enjoy each day and be at ease with ourself and others, then balance becomes a way of life.

Beauty in Silence

Have you noticed the beauty in the silence?  The mind isn’t usually comfortable with it.  It wants constant feedback from itself. The mind believes that all of it is real, yet it is only the box that it has been playing in.  As the feelings within us are allowed to be experienced, then the silence many only experience outside of themselves, becomes the new normal.  Balance, the exquisite harmony of the integration of body and mind. ~Alain & Jody Herriott
