To be grounded

So often we hear this, “we need to be more grounded”. If we take a moment and simply experience the sensation the words create within us, we begin to link to the sensation that makes us doubt that we are grounded. As we ease ever so gently into this sensation we link to the wholeness of the Earth as well as our relationship with it. ~Alain & Jody Herriott

Talking about Feeling

We are always talking about feeling. Of course everyone feels. Some people assign more value to their feelings while others push them away. We all realize that we are feeling beings and when the feelings are pushed away often conflict arises within us. Take the time to experience the sensations within your feelings. Allow them to arise within you and travel through your body. In this way the mind begins to get the feedback that the body naturally produces to complete itself, this is the beginning of truly Being. ~Alain & Jody Herriott

Oneness

Can you coax your mind from its wandering and keep the original oneness?…..  (Tao te Ching #10). There are so many views on oneness and what it means to be present.  This particular stanza for us means: will you allow yourself to simply experience you and let the mind relax? Reduce the mind’s focus, let the harmonious side of you come to the forefront and simply BE.  Feeling is what takes you there and will always support you. ~Alain & Jody Herriott.

When we hold tightly to a thought

When we hold tightly to a thought or a belief with the mind we make an issue inflexible or unchangeable.   As we lighten the intensity of our focus, we allow for the possibility of change.  As we do this, we sense motion within us and change naturally unfolds.  One can take this to the nth degree and feel: I feel the boundary of what I call me, I allow it to unfold and in so doing become ME.  ~Alain & Jody Herriott
