The gentlest thing

Number 43 of the Tao te Ching says:  The gentlest thing in the world overcomes the hardest thing in the world.  That which has no substance enters where there is no space. This shows the value of non-action. When we as individuals choose a softer path, often referred to as a Yin or more feminine approach to situations, conflict and life in general.  We listen, and we act from a place of balance.  Feeling, the gentle sensations within us naturally produces this kind of experience.  Choose to feel it is safe and leads to harmony in one’s life.  ~Alain & Jody Herriott

Define self through others

Most people define themselves by what others think of them.  What if instead they felt the sensations within themselves, used any technique that fostered self awareness and chose to feel who they are vs what they believe other people want from them.  In our experience better balance is had for both the individual and those they are around.  Presence is usually experienced as a relative sense of balance and harmony when one is around someone who practices presence.  We encourage you to be you.  Balance naturally springs from this way of living.  ~Alain & Jody Herriott

Listening to our self talk

So much of our life is spent in listening to our self talk and believing it.  It’s not that what it is saying is good or bad, it’s that it never stops, no rest.  That is what drives us nuts.  In order to bridge the gap between the overactive mind and a harmonious state, we simply feel the sensations within us that are always there.  Feeling our feelings vs simply talking about them brings us into “presence” and balance in our lives. ~Alain & Jody Herriott

Living in resistance

Most of us are living a life of resistance. We resist certain thoughts, people and memories. In The Wonder Method, these resistances become opportunities. Once we are aware we are resisting something we have the option to feel that sensation as oppposed to pushing it away. The act of feeling the sensations also makes it possible for those sensations to change and evolve, reducing our reaction to the original trigger. As TWM is applied the resistance gradually drops away (often a matter of minutes) and balance is the result. This approach is always available, it is simply a choice to feel or resist.  Enjoy ~Alain & Jody Herriott

In the Tao te Ching

In the 2nd Tao te Ching it says “When people see some things as beautiful, other things become ugly.  When people see some things as good, other things become bad.” It goes on to say “Being and non being create each other.  Difficult and easy support each other….” Our judgement of circumstances cause internal conflict. If we view right and wrong as being absolute we get caught in the mind trap that there are no alternatives to the way we are living.  Yet if we choose to experience the gentle sensations inside of us, these seeming judgements begin to drop away and we again return to harmony and a life in balance.  ~Alain & Jody Herriott

Awakening. What does it mean

Awakening.  What does it mean? For us, within the experience of The Wonder Method exercises, it allows us to have a quiet mind, peacefulness and a sense of balance and wholeness.  Hand in hand with this is allowing ourselves to feel the sensations within knowing they lead us to an ever deeper experience of balance and happiness.  We encourage you to feel what is inside you and let it carry you to ever greater fulfillment. ~Alain & Jody Herriott

Beauty in Silence

Have you noticed the beauty in the silence?  The mind isn’t usually comfortable with it.  It wants constant feedback from itself. The mind believes that all of it is real, yet it is only the box that it has been playing in.  As the feelings within us are allowed to be experienced, then the silence many only experience outside of themselves, becomes the new normal.  Balance, the exquisite harmony of the integration of body and mind. ~Alain & Jody Herriott

The Wonder Method

We are often asked just what is The Wonder Method?  Probably first and foremost it is a subtle, simple, yet counter intuitive way to become incredibly present.  Other names for this might be “awake”, “grounded”, or “balanced” within ourselves.  Beyond this it is a model that can be used to offer healing to others and to unwind limiting beliefs and experiences until calm and balance are experienced within us.  If we take it further it is also a way to step beyond the common view of reality or Maya and begin to live in satisfaction and joy.  This all starts with feeling at the sensation level and everything evolves from there.  We encourage you to feel; it is wonderfully satisfying. ~ Alain & Jody Herriott

Life is defined by stress

So much of our life is defined by stress, what we want and what we don’t want. The more stress, the more resistance we experience about everything we do.  As we unfold, through unwinding our resistance, we begin to realize that the less we resist, the more we open. In time we are living the maxim, “when nothing is done, nothing is left undone.”  Now we are balance, a never ending now of being. Enjoy the journey. ~Alain & Jody Herriott
