How do we deal with a world defined by drama

How do we deal with a world that is defined by drama, in effect a land ruled by upset?  We feel ourselves and thus live a life of being vs doing.  For us what matters is the feeling within ourselves that the response produces; everything else is drama. And we use that feeling as the corridor to travel down, which takes us out of the drama and sets us free.  ~Alain & Jody Herriott

There is an inner world and an outer world

There is an inner world and an outer world.  The inner world has many levels. There are the feelings that we have about our day (this is a bit of an inner and an outer mix).  There are the sensations within us as well that link to a state of being.  It is continuous and never ending.  The outer world is truly a reflection of the sensation level of us.  We don’t usually realize it but it is there none the less.  The art of feeling at the sensation level is what awakens the first inklings of being; this immediately begins to modify and balance the world we see around us.  Take the time to feel, it is a world without end and the presence and beingness that it offers is priceless.  ~Alain & Jody Herriott

Each of us lives in a world of our own design

Each of us lives in a world. This can be a world of our own design or a world where we are a subject of others. In all cases we are working within the boundaries that we feel are the limitations and also the possibilities within that world. Unwinding our limitations sets the stage for an amazing world to be part of. Some limitations will challenge our choice to be amazing, this allows us to grow even more and again become freer to dream what others may call impossible. This is where true possibility exists, our own dream in our own world, exploring and sharing the new and amazing with anyone or anything that we touch. Dare to dream and let your world unfold; this is where we fully embrace the unlimited being that we are. ~Alain & Jody Herriott

Every experience in our world

Every experience and each thing we interact with in our world is part of the definition of self, of what we call “me”.  Many of these things and experiences seem limiting.  They don’t have to be, but through habit we stay in the same old rut.  Mind says: stay with what is familiar, ignore the feelings within you that something is wrong, and you will be safe.  The problem is that we are not safe, we are only used to the rut we have been experiencing.  When we allow feeling to join the mix, we gradually remove the walls of our old ruts and we again become free to live in balance and harmony.  ~Alain & Jody Herriott

You do not change the world

You do not change the world, the world is changed by you.  This may sound a bit like double talk but it is so very true.  When we attempt to force change we create a kind of conflict, a deepening of the drama so to speak.  If instead we become present and find the point or state of balance that exists within us, we change our relationship with the issues that we are in conflict with.  This allows change to occur and things simply work.  When we practice this, life becomes a meditation. ~Alain & Jody Herriott

When we see our world with Wonder

When we see our world through the eyes of Wonder everything has a special glow.  We realize that we are an integral part of everything.  This significance reminds us that seeing the world in this way is like seeing it as if through the eyes of a child.  Life is experienced as a precious ever evolving gift.  Join us and return to those special moments for a life time.  ~Alain & Jody Herriott

Creation of the World

“The creation of the world did not take place once and for all time, but takes place every day.”  — Samuel Beckett, Proust

Our lives are like this; each day we are creating, evolving. Having said that we also desire things to stay the same in our lives, giving us something that we believe we can depend on. Yet give us too much consistency and we feel stale, bored and crave change. This paradox is the opportunity, creating the bridge between the desire for things to stay the same and for things to change. It is this inner conflict that drives us to look for new ways to be.  Feeling is what carries us over the bridge, bringing us to a new way to be.  It allows us to enjoy the consistency and embrace change as well. ~ Alain & Jody Herriott
