How do we deal with a world defined by drama

How do we deal with a world that is defined by drama, in effect a land ruled by upset?  We feel ourselves and thus live a life of being vs doing.  For us what matters is the feeling within ourselves that the response produces; everything else is drama. And we use that feeling as the corridor to travel down, which takes us out of the drama and sets us free.  ~Alain & Jody Herriott

Every experience in our day has sensation

As every experience in our day has sensation in it, there is always an opportunity to open. And as tension is often present just below the surface and is subliminally suppressed it is a golden opportunity to reawaken to ease.  Taking a few moments to unwind, through feeling our baseline feelings, gives us this opportunity to again experience ease in our day.  Take the time, feel, it is simply fabulous to be us.  ~Alain & Jody Herriott

We are taught from an early age to achieve

We are taught from an early age to achieve, to push, to beat others.  This is probably the #1 thing in our way in order to know ourselves.  All the striving takes us out of the moment and places us firmly in the mind, separated from our essential self. People believe that striving is necessary in order to achieve our goals.  This simply isn’t true. Instead we find harmony is born, which makes everything possible.  It is easy enough to create balance in our lives; all we need to do is be willing to feel the sensations within us. T  his will change our focus from pushing to opening and the rest simply unfolds.  ~Alain & Jody Herriott

Recently we were contemplating the word Cognize

Recently we were contemplating the word Cognize which means “to perceive, know or become aware of”. We had a realization. When feeling and intellect are allowed to work together understanding is simply there. So as we perceive in this way our understanding simply unfolds. This is a totally counter-intuitive approach, yet infinitely satisfying. The Tao te Ching would say: ……Can you deal with the most vital matters by letting events take their course? Can you step back from you own mind and thus understand all things?….. Enjoy. ~Alain & Jody Herriott

Especially at this time of year, the question

Especially at this time of year, the question of most value is: are we willing to feel or only react to the drama we find ourselves in? That is our option in every situation. If we allow ourselves to feel and unwind our issues, we can set ourselves free from whatever drama we find ourselves in. Do we want to change? Are we ready to go beyond our boundaries? We are allowed to take all the time we need to do so. It is really worth every moment of our time. ~Alain & Jody Herriott

The body is every bit as intelligent as the mind

The body is every bit as intelligent as the mind. Its communication is subtle, gentle, and while it may appear difficult to understand, its language is sensation. The mind is constantly pushing on these subtle sensations. The mind hides this subtlety beneath its over activity. When we allow ourselves to be aware of the subtle sensations and let them surface, the mind begins to relax. As this occurs, everything comes into harmony, and being is the result. ~Alain & Jody Herriott

All our lives we have been taught

All our lives we have been taught to try hard, that this is the way to achieve a fulfilling and productive life.  We disagree.  The need to work hard is the model that society has trapped us in.  As we learn to feel and integrate body and mind we realize a completely different way to live.  We unfold into right choices and find ourselves fulfilled and successful. ~Alain & Jody Herriott

Have you ever noticed, when we feel, we are motion

Have you ever noticed that when we really let ourselves feel, there is a sense of motion within us?  On the other hand when the mind thinks, the motion is stopped.  From this we learn that feeling creates movement, and too much mind creates stops.  Movement is the beginning of freedom and stops are what keep us locked in place.  We encourage you to feel; the movement will set you free and return you to Being.  ~Alain & Jody Herriott
