As we unwind our fears

As we unwind our fears and limitations through feeling our feelings, the mind naturally lightens the intensity of its focus and we begin to experience quiet and a sense of internal motion. This motion happens within us, around us and through us. It is a naturally occurring part of our make-up. We are flow and it is always there to nurture us. Enjoy ~Alain & Jody Herriott

Our brains tend to hold us in a framework

Our brains tend to “hold” us in a framework, believing it makes us safe, successful and adaptable to our environment. This is both a blessing and a curse.

A blessing because it allows us to live much of our life on autopilot, and also a curse because it keeps us locked in repetitive patterns that only seem to be successful.  Through feeling our feelings we unwind the things that limit our interactions with the world. We can then find successful new directions.  Enjoy the journey.  ~Alain & Jody Herriott

When life upsets us, the mind wants to solve

When life upsets us, the mind wants to “solve” what it considers a problem.  In the process we are taken on a mental trip of upset, drama and unsolvable conundrums. The feelings that are below the surface of the mind’s drama are actually a better tool to unlock the door of the problem and bring us balance.  Again, these feelings are not a problem to solve, they are an experience that should be allowed to unfold within us. As we feel our feelings and they unfold we find ourselves becoming balanced; we become completed in such a pleasant and vast way it defies description.  Enjoy the journey.  ~Alain & Jody Herriott

Life is a choice. Good statement,

Life is a choice. Good statement, we have heard it so very many times.  How many of us actually live life in this way?  As we travel the path of experiencing our feelings we come to realize that we have choices.  One choice may be to enjoy each aspect of life, each little nuance.  Some will say that is too much, I can’t do that.  Of course this a choice.  We make them every day.  In doing so we may lead ourselves down the path of unfolding life, much like a flower, or we may starve ourselves by not letting ourselves feel.  We encourage you to feel.  The mind is already over-trained; trust it to simply work.  Trust your feelings as well, as they are your missing link to being.  All you have to do is choose to do so.  ~Alain & Jody Herriott

The mind is about attachment

The mind is about attachment to outcome and is constantly in expectation.  It is drawn to drama and circular thinking and upset for it is always searching for something to control.  In effect the mind causes separation within us because of its constant reaching. Using the body to experience the feelings within us reunites us.  The more this occurs the more we come back into balance.  This harmony of body and mind is truly the harmony that is total. Others will call it many different names: centered, presence, even enlightenment.  Regardless of the word, balance is now a way of life.  ~Alain & Jody Herriott

There is an inner world and an outer world

There is an inner world and an outer world.  The inner world has many levels. There are the feelings that we have about our day (this is a bit of an inner and an outer mix).  There are the sensations within us as well that link to a state of being.  It is continuous and never ending.  The outer world is truly a reflection of the sensation level of us.  We don’t usually realize it but it is there none the less.  The art of feeling at the sensation level is what awakens the first inklings of being; this immediately begins to modify and balance the world we see around us.  Take the time to feel, it is a world without end and the presence and beingness that it offers is priceless.  ~Alain & Jody Herriott

Every experience in our day has sensation

As every experience in our day has sensation in it, there is always an opportunity to open. And as tension is often present just below the surface and is subliminally suppressed it is a golden opportunity to reawaken to ease.  Taking a few moments to unwind, through feeling our baseline feelings, gives us this opportunity to again experience ease in our day.  Take the time, feel, it is simply fabulous to be us.  ~Alain & Jody Herriott

Into each life a little rain must fall

Into each life a little rain must fall. This kind of statement keeps us in a world made up of drama. It causes us to always fear that we will not be fully successful no matter what we do. This is why, in The Wonder Method™, we process, to deconstruct this sort of limiting view through feeling. And we Wonder (an evolving state of possibility) our way into an always flexible set of possibilities that can and will carry us into an amazing moment, the present—the most powerful place there is. ~Alain & Jody Herriott

The art of the creative genius

We were reading an interesting article yesterday from NASA and their testing of how many of us are creative geniuses.

The most interesting thing about the article was as a person aged the creative genius dropped. Their testing showed at five years old, 98% of the children tested were in the genius category. By the time they were adults only 2% tested as being in the creative genius category.

We have learned, as we process our upsetting experiences and feelings, we return to a more creative way of being. Bit by bit our abilities expand and we return to the creative genius of our youth. ~Alain & Jody Herriott

As we continue the journey of feeling

As we continue the journey of feeling and unwinding our limiting beliefs our foundation of understanding evolves. This allows us greater insight. For example, the Tao te Ching #10 says: “Can you coax your mind from its wandering and keep to the original oneness?……” As you unwind your emotions the mind quiets. Now sensations begin to be sensed throughout your body, seemingly moving through you of their own accord. You are experiencing a flow, a sense of balance and at the same time an unwinding of limiting experiences. You have arrived in Presence. ~Alain & Jody Herriott
